Have a look at the
various ways that you can register with us and
choose the one that best suits you...
Online:
Wherever you
live, to volunteer in your local area go to
the Do-It
site and register online to browse
volunteering opportunities.
If you find something you like the look of
your request will then be passed on to
whichever Volunteer Centre posted the
volunteering role.
Enquiries made
this way generally receive a reply within a
few working days. In many cases information
will be e-mailed within an hour or so
during the standard working week.
Please
note, it is not an automated service - if
you do not get an immediate response do
not flood the system by re-sending the
request (or
telephone at 3am to find out why nobody
has got back to you).
Complete a form:
Or, if you want to
volunteer in the Liverpool area, you can
download a version of our own registration
forms in rich text format which can be
completed on-screen, saved and e-mailed back
by clicking the icon below:
- please do not alter the
formatting.
If you
would prefer to be sent a registration
form in the post please contact us by
telephone on 0151-237 3975 or e-mail registration@volunteercentreliverpool.org.uk leaving your
details including an address and
postcode. This process can take a
little longer but each enquiry will be
dealt with.
Drop-In sessions:
We are running
drop-in sessions whereby you can just pop in to
the office on Dale Street and someone will be
able to see you (and you can complete a
registration form while you are waiting to be
seen).
These take place on Tuesday afternoons between 2
and 4 pm and on Thursday mornings between 10:30
and 12:30 lunchtime.
Please
note that you may have to wait to be seen.
Please note that the
entrance to the building is on the corner of Dale
Street and Fontenoy Street.
Preparing
to Volunteer
Are you over 18 years of age and living in
Liverpool?
Want to do
something different and have fun doing it?
Want to gain experience and
skills to help you move into work or training?
Have you thought about
volunteering? Come along to our free Preparing to
Volunteer session (dates
and venue on the downloadable pdf - see below)
The Preparing to Volunteer sessions are specifically
designed for people like you. It will enable you to find
a suitable volunteering placement and be ready to start
volunteering with a voluntary/community organisation.
This brief,
informal course is aimed at people who have very little
or no previous experience of volunteering or
work-related activity. The session will be of particular
benefit to people who are long term unemployed or newly
redundant and who want to explore transferring and using
their skills and experience in a voluntary capacity.
For
further information, including date and venue,
please click the icon for a downloadable pdf sheet:
If you
require information on how to get to the venue in
question please use google maps (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&tab=wl)
using the 'Get directions' button and then the
appropriate 'A - B' boxes to map your route...
The session will begin
at 10.30am and finish at 3 p.m. with all materials
being provided.
Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided but NOT
lunch.
THIS IS NOT A DROP IN - YOU MUST RESERVE A PLACE!
